I’m certain that this is the VERY first song that I did with Snak the Ripper. I sent him some beat snippets in like 2006 or 2007 — this particular batch of beats contained both the Yer The Shit Instrumental and the Watch Me Flex Instrumental.
It’s funny, I almost DIDN’T send this beat to anybody because I thought it sounded a little too familiar to Erick Sermon‘s style of production.
I sent the Yer The Shit instrumental audio tracks to Snak’s homey (can’t remember his name) so he could mix the song down. He made some slight changes to the beat. I never bothered to get that version of the instrumental from him; that’s why this “version” sounds slightly different than the one on the album.
